Runs out of stamina VERY quickly, for that "Special Stun" (that lasts 2 freak'in seconds now!) Has virtually no armore (except for the 2 types of shields) Gets up to sprint speed fast (not fastest)

They dont have any special ability unless you call massive health and armor + carrying aroung a portable metal WALL (Tower Shield) "special" Highest Stamina and Health in the game (can take a MaA 4, 5 and sometimes with lots of dancing 6 "body shots" to bring one down with a Falchion) They can also utilize the strategy of moveing the mouse to get the tip of the weapon over to the enemy at the very end of windup just as it release, making for an almost instant strike with a freak'in 20 pound hammer (lol) (Grand Mace overhead 0.525, Maul 100 damage.Just a flesh wound) But, they can mouse turn/spin and lookdown just as fast as anyone else and have longer (not longest) primary weaps that do the highest damage in the game. Can run pretty fast to get up to a fight if they switch to a secondary first but, actual forward, back and strafe speeds are slowest in the game, however.

Plus "Sprint Attack" for single strike special damage effect Lots and Lots of stamina and High Health makes for MANY strikes and combos Main and secondary(longer) 1 handed weapons just CONNOT do this unless you get almost 50% (and more depending on which attack you try to implement at apex of windup) way closer than there shortest main weapon)

(Fastest you ask?.because of the reach in the tip of these long weapons, a good player that can learn to "feel" where the tip orginates just as the windup is complete and the release is at its begining can, mouse turn/spin, look down, strafe to basically make the time it takes to actually hit a target and cause full damage, ONLY the time it takes to WINDUP!.Claymore can strike as fast as about 0.50 second (Claymore overhead windup is 0.475, Zwie is 0.60, Polehammer 0.625). Has the fastest and longest weapons in the game that do very-high damage. Run and Sprint speeds almost as fast as MaA. From its brutally immersive combat to its fluid presentation and intuitive cross-play, Chivalry 2 is well worth playing at launch, and we’ll have more to say in our full review soon.Simple and obvious.breaks-down like this from "Easy-Mode" to "Difficulty - High: You’ll definitely want to keep coming back.īlurring the line between massive multiplayer shooter and fighting game, Chivalry 2 is a perfect palette cleanser for those in search of something a little different. Torn Banner has also given players plenty to unlock, from new weapons for every class, through to an extensive spread of customisation options. Each battle turns into its own saga with fearless ambushes, bold rallies, and climactic, nail-biting conclusions. The novelty of Chivalry 2’s multiplayer carnage has yet to fade even after spending several hours playing both the beta and launch version of the game. As you look to repel attackers from your castle gates you can throw rocks, chickens, and even haunches of bread, firing deadly bolts from ballistae while dodging deadly catapults. There’s a brilliant level of interactivity in Chivalry 2, across every map. Peppering targets with arrows from afar can be immensely satisfying. There’s an archer class as well, of course, though each class has access to thrown weapons. Advanced moves such as feints, jabs, shoves, and ducks create even more options. Block, dodges, parries, and counters turn each duel into a back-and-forth rally as players look to outsmart their enemy. Melee weapons can be swung from side to side, overhead, or in a stabbing motion, dealing damage whenever they hit an exposed opponent (or team mate, if you’re not careful). It’s also very daft.Ĭontrolling the four playable classes is pretty straightforward. With huge medieval battles and manic melee combat still at the game’s core, Torn Banner’s sequel is somehow easier to pick up and play while adding more depth. It’s immediately clear that the long-awaited Chivalry 2 is a marked improvement over its predecessor. Chivalry scored well among critics when it launched in late 2012, shifting more than 2 million copies in its first couple of years before making the leap to consoles. The pitch was simple: a medieval spin on popular multiplayer shooters, swapping out guns for an assortment of gnarly weapons from the dark ages. The original Chivalry: Medieval Warfare took to Kickstarter almost a decade ago in search of crowdfunding, fledgling indie dev Torn Banner Studios netting a tidy $85,000.

As we head toward our review, the game is now in the hands of early adopters, fans of the original that couldn’t wait to dive right back in. From humble beginnings, Chivalry 2 is shaping up to be one of the best multiplayer games of 2021, albeit a bloody mad one.
